Live Zoom Call Canning Workshop

Sunday, Sept 10, 2023

10am-12pm Mountain

We're bringing back out best selling class this summer!

Join me AND MY PICKLE CANNING MASTER MOM in my Montana kitchen for a morning of putting up food! In this hands-on, extra long workshop you will learn the ins and outs of preserving dill pickles AND bread and butter pickles in your home kitchen.

It'll all happen over a live zoom call, where we answer your questions in real time.

We will gather, live and digitally connected, where I will share my simple, safe and predictable techniques for making pickles. Once you master this recipe and technique, the sky's the pickling limit!

We will spend two full hours in our kitchens where we will teach you all about pickling, canning best practices, and the entire process start to finish. We ensure that all your questions are answered along the way. At the end of our time together you will have jars of briney summer lining your counter, AND the confidence and skill to replicate the process. Promise.

Super fun! Be ready to juggle lots of hot things!

I took bread baking and pickle making and loved both. Bread baking was social and slow paced and calm and almost therapeutic. We’re anxiously awaiting our 6 week mark to open our pickles! Pickle making felt a bit rushed for a novice like me, and it was harder to do with my kids (Lots of boiling things/water!) But I’d highly recommend both classes as a way to connect with friends in this crazy world.

So Fun!

This was such a good experience for me - I pulled my mom in to be my assistant and it was a fun way to spend a morning. I didn’t feel like I’d ever made “successful”’pickles. Nici and her mom we’re so knowledgeable and fun! Having a moderator was clutch and all questions were addressed. It was easy to modify because they were there to answer questions or concerns. Some folks couldn’t find alum or big jars- they had a simple solution for everything (leave the alum out- cut up the cukes if you need to). I’ve been canning for years but pickles (other than a quick fridge pickle) always intimidated the heck out of me and I wish I had paid more attention when my grandma was around - this was a perfect way for me to try pickling with a little bit of back-up. Highly recommend!

Dude. I've never canned a thing until today and now I'm hooked

I LOVED this class. Nici is such a skilled, open-handed teacher and her mama is the best. They line everything out in a way that feels so accessible. I cannot wait to dive into my pickles in 6 weeks. I'm actually writing this review because I came onto her website to sign up for the next canning class- tomatoes!! If you are considering this class, just sign up. You can always watch on replay if the time doesn't work for you.
