Margot's Dog Toy
Hello, my name is Margot Cline and I am in 5th grade. I am on a competitive Jump Rope Team. We are called The Montana Supper Skippers. We are the only jump rope team in Montana, which means that we have to travel a lot.
I started club jumpers when I was 6 years old. When I was in 3rd grade I started to do the competitive team. There are 12 events. My favorite events are all speeds, singles and three-person.
This year nationals is in Orlando, Florida and I get to go for the first time ever. The trip is expensive, so my parents asked me to try to raise $500 to help pay for some of it. We just got a puppy and we named her Wilma. After we got her, we went down to my mom’s work studio and Wilma started to chew some of the extra fabric that fell off the table to the floor. I got the idea to make dog toys out of some of the extra fabric scraps! I sold a few to friends and they really like them so then I asked my mom if I could try to sell them in her shop and she said yes!
This is a great way to recycle some fabric and every one is unique. I braid six pieces of fabric really tight with big knots on each end. The large ones are $4.00 and the medium ones are $2.00. I would really love it if you bought one, and to the people who already bought one, thank you so much for your support! 🙂
